My wife and I spent a weekend at this hotel in November 2006. It is a veritable treasure trove of Art Deco motifs everywhere you turn! The weather was a bit chilly so I didn't get outside for exterior shots. For now...here's a bunch of interior shots of the multitude of decor in a variety of materials. All exterior and interior sculpture and metal work are attributed to Rene Paul Chambellan. The mural of the cityscape seen in the curved stairwell is not original to the hotel. It was done later when the hotel was restored (the 1980s, I believe). See also: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carew_Tower Photos by Jim L. Patterson - copyright 2006, except as noted.
