Car designs shift to streamlining!
From the earliest cars by Henry Ford (the Model T, then the Model A), the mid- to late-1930s saw an increasing trend towards streamlining. There was a strong desire for sleek, smooth curves that made a car look like it was speeding even while standing still. I highlight here some examples that best represent the style.
Take special note of the body carriages designed by Figoni & Falaschi of France (Delahaye's, Delages, etc.). The French were the ultimate designers of streamlined elegance!
