Date Constructed: 1935

Current Building Name: None
Earlier Building Names: Jones-Dabney Varnish Company
Architect: Unknown at this time
Builder: Unknown at this time
Current Status: Unknown
Designation (if applicable): National Register of Historic Places

This building is on the National Register of Historic Places listed as "Moderne, Other" for its architectural style. It's located at 1495 S 11th Street where 12th Street intersects and ends. It was at one time a polymer manufacturing plant, the title of which is now painted over at the top center of the building. The engraving of scales above the door could mean it was originally a law office, however that's just a guess. I don't know its current use, but it's still obviously set-up for manufacturing with a multitude of pipes and ductwork visible inside.

This building displays the Art-Moderne/Streamline-Moderne variation of Art Deco. The most distinguishing feature of this style is the rounded, smooth, streamlined corners and windows emphasizing the horizontal.
